We pull from high-kill animal shelters, we take in the sick, unwanted, aggressive, abandoned, abused and neglected animals. We place them in a foster home with someone who will understand them, rehabilitate them and show them what it is like to be loved again.

Detroit Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) is a local non-profit, no-kill animal
rescue taking in over 1000 animals annually. We have a 25 acre farm in Bruce Twp with a kennel, heated barn, creek, pond and many enclosures. We take in domestic animals, farm animals, and injured or orphaned wildlife for rehabilitation. We have over 100 committed volunteers, a veterinarian and vet technician who provide daily care for our animals. The farm is home to many animals with medical conditions or disabilities.
