Blacksburg Ballet
The Blacksburg Ballet is a non-profit dance company founded in the early 2000s with the goal of bringing quality dance education and performances to the NRV. We perform locally at athletics and community events, produce The Nutcracker ballet, and have recently been able to offer our FREE field trip to over 2,000 children and seniors. Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad
The Blacksburg Volunteer Rescue Squad provides pre-hospital emergency medical care to the Town of Blacksburg and portions of Montgomery County, VA. They also provide technical rescue services including wilderness search and rescue, cave rescue, and water rescue to the region, Virginia, and neighboring states. New River Family Shelter (NRFS)
NRFS educates anyone experiencing a housing crisis on tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities and refers to needed services. Homeless families with children in the NRV are eligible for NRFS case management services and, those not in imminent danger of domestic violence, for emergency shelter as space is available. The agency has the capacity to house five families consecutively and, while being sheltered, are assisted with addressing housing barriers in order to locate permanent housing.

New River Valley-Radford Project Linus
Our local NRV chapter of Project Linus has been functioning since June 2000 and has made and donated over 49,000 blankets to children age 0-18 who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. Our blankets are given to hospitals, shelters, Social Services, and community service agencies, and also police, fire, and rescue agencies. All blankets and quilts are homemade by hand with love. They are quilts, fleece, knit, or crochet. All stay in the NRV unless there is national call for help.

Northside Presbyterian Church -- Monday Night Suppers
The Monday Night Supper program is a mission of Northside Presbyterian Church to provide free meals to anyone who comes to the church every Monday between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Each meal consists of a main entre, a side or two, a fruit cup, and cookies. The main dish has been soup, pasta, chili, roast beef sandwiches, grilled hamburger or hot dogs, or a sub. The mission started in 2018 and has grown every year. We currently serve between 50 and 100 meals each Monday.

Nueva Esperanza - New Hope Girls Inc. ("New Hope Girls") rescues girls and empowers women in the Dominican Republic (DR). Special Olympics (SO) Area 9 serves the NRV with free year-round opportunities in sports and healthy living. Our athletes and partners/volunteers bring joy and respect to the Area. We have 12 sports and compete locally, in State, USA and International Games! We have gold, silver, and bronze medalists. This fall, we will send athletes and unified teams to States for bocce, volleyball, and bowling. We want to expand to our youngest members and reach athletes in our local schools. Thank you.

Vittles for Vets LLC
Vittles for Vets is dedicated to offering a hand-up to impoverished veterans suffering from food insecurity through our supplemental grocery gift card program. Qualifying veterans receive a biweekly gift card to a grocery store of choice for the purchase of nutritious food and personal care items. The annual cost of lending a hand-up per enrolled veteran is $2,600-$5,200, depending on family size. We currently serve 100 veterans and dependents across Southwest Virginia and beyond.

Belview’s Helping Hands Pantry
We started the pantry 2 years ago after helping a family with Christmas, realizing there was such a need for cleaning supplies and personal care items. The clothing and household items are donated by the community, we sort and put everything in order like a store. We also pack boxes of personal care and cleaning supplies, diapers and wipes. We are open once a month and are now seeing between 70-80 families. The pantry has been a blessing to all the volunteers as well as everyone who attends.
